The Canon PowerShot A720IS is an excellent camera. It has more advanced capability than a simple point and shoot, but is very easy to use. The optical image stabilization is an important feature. I find it very useful to have a view finder because often in bright sun it is very difficult to view the screen on any camera. Canon makes a great product. They should offer more in this size/price range with a view finder. I highly recommend the A720IS.
