I bought this camera my senior year or high school, right before my senior trip. I needed a camera that was a little more than just a point and shoot cause at that time I was wanting to get a little more into photography. I could not afford a DSLR so I did a bunch of research in the Ultrazoom camera market. I found this one to be the best value for the price. It takes wonderful pictures under the “automatic” setting, which would satisfy the average person wanting to get good picture with a good zoom with good megapixels. But at the same time you can dig a little deeper with the manual settings and unlock a whole new world of photography. I have yet to figure out all of the settings and such since I am just happy taking good pictures under the simple pre-rendered settings that come with the camera. The image stabilization options are great too, which help take even greater pictures. If you are just thinking about getting into photography and are not sure about your commitment to the art, I would recommend this camera as a good companion!
