I considered paying the for the genuine Sony version, but the shipping fee was kind of the last straw. This one shipped for , which still seemed a bit considering the minuscule weight, but it’s still about half the total price. It seems fine. Plastic was clear, and it snapped on without issues. I’m not sure how easy it will be to get it off, but that might be a good thing. So far so good. I considered an invisible shield thin plastic sheet product which you can have applied, but I liked the idea of thick plastic better, because it would seem to offer more protection to the LCD. Anything which might scratch or break it should take out the plastic instead. Of course, Sony really should have included the screen with the product as is the case with some other cameras, especially when they are charging 00 for the A850! This is definitely something you want with a camera that costs that much.
